STRATFORD – Rib Lake overcame a 14-point first-half deficit to knock off Stratford 43-42 in the fourth-place game of the Marawood Conference North-South crossovers Friday night at Stratford High School.
Stratford led 18-4 after the first quarter but couldn’t hold on. Rib Lake outscored the Tigers 15-8 in the second quarter to make it 26-19 at halftime, then whittled away at the lead until it pulled the win out at the end.
Nolan Bargender had a team-high 15 points and six rebounds for Stratford, which finishes the regular season with a 15-7 record.
Rib Lake improves to 7-14.
Stratford hosts Edgar in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
