WAUSAU – Brynn Salava made 9 of 12 shots from the field and scored a game-high 22 points, leading the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 73-58 win over UW-Barron County on Saturday in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference state tournament semifinals at UW-Marathon County.
The Marauders (23-2) will play UW-Waukesha for the state championship at noon on Sunday at UW-Marathon County.
Mckenzie Trunkel added 15 points, Heather Adrian had 10 points and Kaitlynn Mefferd dished out 12 assists for UW-Marshfield.
The Marauders shot 52.6 percent from the field, while holding UW-Barron to just 30.8 percent shooting.
