WAUSAU – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team’s season came to an end Saturday with an 83-78 loss to UW-Manitowoc in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference state semifinal at UW-Marathon County.
Cain Trunkel scored 23 points, Jesse Bejcek added 22 and Matt Grunewald had 10 for the Marauders, who finish the season with an 19-5 record and the WCC West Division regular-season championship.
