MADISON – Marshfield girls hockey standout Paige Johnson was named as the Wisconsin Ms. Hockey Award winner for the 2012-13 season at the Wisconsin Girls Hockey Coaches Association banquet on Thursday.

Johnson, a senior at Spencer High School, led the Marshfield co-op team with 58 points (37 goals and 21 assists) in 24 games for the Tigers.

Johnson also won her second-straight Molly Engstrom Award as the state’s top defensive player.

Johnson helped Marshfield to a 16-7-1 record and a share of the Great Northern Conference championship (12-1-1), which it shared with Northland Pines. The Tigers reached the sectional semifinals before losing to Pines 4-3.
