Marshfield sophomore Caitlin Michaelis was one of four players unanimously picked to the first team of the 2012-13 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Basketball Team.
Michaelis joins D.C. Everest senior Lauren Anklam, Stevens Point senior Heather Woyak and Wausau West sophomore Jasmin Samz as unanimous first-team selections. Merrill junior Renee Sladek was also chosen to the first team.
Michaelis, an honorable mention pick as a freshman last year, finished second in the conference in scoring at 15.7 points per game, finishing just three points behind Samz (191-188) for the scoring title.
Michaelis also finished second in 3-point shooting (41.3 percent), first in 3-pointers made with 33 (14 more than any other player) and third in free throw percentage (76.7 percent).
Samz and Sladek were named co-players of the year.
Marshfield junior Darian Molter was among the six second-team picks.
Molter averaged 12 points a game, finishing fourth in the WVC, and was third in 3-point percentage at 40.5 percent.
