Due to snow still on the ground, all area high school sports events (except for track and field) for this week, and some for next week, have been cancelled or postponed.
In an effort to get their season started, Marshfield has added nonconference games in Illinois in baseball and girls soccer. The Tigers baseball team will open its season Thursday at Arlington Heights Hersey and play at Yorkville on Friday, while the girls soccer team will play at Urbana High School on Saturday.
