Marshfield’s Taylor Varsho and Andie Varsho were both unanimous selections to the All-Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Basketball Team, as voted on by the conference coaches.
Taylor Varsho, a sophomore, led the conference in scoring at 18.4 points a game, was second in 3-pointers made (25), third in 3-point percentage (34.2 percent) and ninth in field goal percentage (45.5) and free-throw percentage (63.0) in helping the Tigers to their third straight Wisconsin Valley championship.
Andie Varsho, a senior, led the WVC in assists with 5.0 a game, and finished sixth in field goal percentage (48.8) and 10th in scoring (9.1 points a game).
The Varsho sisters joined player of the year Jessica Waldvogel and Courtney Falk of Wausau West as unanimous first-team picks.
Wausau East’s Taylor Zillman rounds out the first-team picks after leading the Valley in rebounding.
Waldvogel was second in the conference in scoring (17.9 points a game) and rebounding (7.6 a game).
Marshfield’s Kelsey Weigel was named to the second team after scoring 7.7 points a game while shooting 54.5 percent (third in the WVC) from the field.
