Marshfield softball loses to Wisconsin Rapids for second straight day

MARSHFIELD – Wisconsin Rapids pounded out 19 hits en route to a 17-5 win over Marshfield in Wisconsin Valley Conference softball action Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Shelby Steinke was 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs and Rachel Sneen had three hits for the Raiders (4-8, 2-7 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Marshfield drops to 1-11 and 1-5 in the WVC.

Brianna Breu had a single and double for two of the Tigers’ nine hits.

Marshfield hosts a triangular Saturday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, playing nonconference games against Antigo and Menomonie.
