Stratford’s Hannah Schmitt and Auburndale’s Kayla Gotz were unanimous first-team selections on the 2013 All-Marawood Conference South Division Softball Team.
Schmitt tied for second in the South in batting average, hitting .500 (12 of 24), led the conference with 13 RBIs and tied for second with 10 runs scored.
Gotz tied for seventh in batting average at .440 (11 of 25), hit the Apaches’ lone home run in conference play and scored three times.
Stratford’s Liz Krum and Dallas Adams were second-team selections and Jennah Kaiser and Tanna Wirkus earned honorable mention status for the Tigers.
Auburndale’s Camille Swart and Kendra Kundinger were honorable mention choices.
Brianna Jankowski of Wausau Newman Catholic was named as the South Division player of the year, and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption’s Mandy Turba was chosen as coach of the year.
