CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys soccer team fell into a tie for second place in the Mid-State Soccer Conference after a 3-2 loss to McDonell/Regis on Thursday.
Jared Fleischmann scored on an assist by Will Atkinson and Christian Payant added an unassisted goal for the Dons in the loss.
McDonell/Regis and Columbus are now tied for second place with 5-2 records. The Dons fall to 7-4 overall, while McDonell/Regis improves to 7-5-1.
Columbus hosts Tri-County on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Griese Park.
