CHIPPEWA FALLS – Max Tibbett finished eighth and McKayla Scheuer took 14th to lead the Marshfield cross country teams at the Chippewa Falls Invitational at Lake Wissota Golf Course on Tuesday.
Tibbett finished in 17:55.00 to help the Marshfield boys to a fifth-place team finish. Devon Klement was 22nd in 19:23.54 and James Kollross came in right behind him at 19:23.87 to finish 23rd.
Scheuer ran the girls race in 22:20.82 to take 14th. The next five Tigers all finished between 17th and 22nd, led by Dani Bender who was 17th in 22:36.61. The Marshfield girls finished third.
Eau Claire North won the boys team title, led by individual winner Gunner Siguardson (17:17.39).
Rice Lake had four of the top six finishers to grab the girls title. Maya Kamrath of Rice Lake won in 21:06.51.
Marshfield is off until the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational on Oct. 12.
