STRATFORD – The Stratford football team took care of business at home Friday, pounding Chequamegon 34-7 in a Marawood Conference game at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers keep pace with the leaders in the Marawood, improving to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference. Both Marathon (6-0) and Edgar (6-1) also won on Friday.
Chequamegon falls to 2-5 and 2-4 in the Marawood.
Stratford plays at Rib Lake against Prentice/Rib Lake next Friday, while Marathon plays at Edgar. The Tigers finish the regular season at Auburndale on Oct. 18.
