LOYAL – Marshfield Columbus Catholic went 1-4 Saturday at the Loyal Volleyball Tournament.
The Dons defeated Lincoln 25-19, 16-25, 17-15, to open the tournament before dropping four straight matches – three in three games. Columbus lost to Loyal/Granton 25-23, 19-25, 15-11; Athens 25-8, 25-6; Neillsville 18-25, 25-16, 15-11, and Colby 20-25, 25-21, 15-7.
Hannah Kruse had 38 kills and Katie Weister added 28 kills and 60 digs for the Dons. Sierra Liwatis had a team-high 68 digs and Tara Brock compiled 106 assists in the five matches for Columbus.

Columbus Catholic will play at Fall Creek in the fifth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference Crossovers on Tuesday in its final regular-season match of the year.
