RHINELANDER – The Marshfield boys swimming team finished fifth at the Hodag Relays on Saturday at Rhinelander Invitational.
Marshfield had a second and three third-place finishes to total 37 points. Superior won the team title with 54 points, with Rhinelander second with 41.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Brian Engel, Tabor Ferris, Aaron Peters and Matt Brown earned the second-place finish for Marshfield, finishing in 4:08.92.
Taking third for Marshfield was the 150 medley team of Alex Krokstrom, Michael Kruse and Nick North 91:38.05), the 300 backstroke team of Colin Thomasgard, Engel and Denver Anderson (3:34.27) and the 200 medley team of Anderson, Zach Korth and Caleb Hansen (1:59.03).
The Tigers return to action Thursday when they host Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet.
