STRATFORD – Four player scored in double figures as the Stratford girls basketball team blasted Chequamegon 63-20 in a nonconference game Thursday night at Stratford High School.
Brooke Schultze scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Macie Frueh added 11 points and Casey Kolbeck and Emily Hauke each scored 10 for Stratford, which improves to 2-1 on the season.
Chequamegon is now 1-3.
Stratford started strong and never let up, holding the Screaming Eagles to single-figure scoring in each quarter.
The Tigers led 18-5 after the first quarter and 33-8 at halftime as they went on to win in dominating fashion.
Stratford returns to Marawood Conference South Division action Tuesday at Edgar.
