Marshfield girls hockey doubles up Tomahawk to snag first victory of season

TOMAHAWK – Nell Eichten and Morgan Larson scored in the second period to lift the Marshfield girls hockey team to a 2-1 win over Tomahawk in a Great Northern Conference matchup on Friday night at SARA Park.

The game was scoreless after one period before the Tigers grabbed the lead in the second.

Larson assisted on Eichten’s goal, while Kessa Schreiner had an assist on Larson’s goal.

Alexis Straughan had 13 saves in goal for Marshfield.

Erika Vallier scored Tomahawk’s goal in the third period.

Marshfield had 36 shots on goal.

Marshfield and Tomahawk are both 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Great Northern Conference.
