LA CROSSE – Cale Zuiker, a 2011 graduate of Marshfield High School, is a junior on the men’s basketball team at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Zuiker is averaging 8 minutes a game coming off the bench for the Eagles. He is averaging 5.6 points and 1.3 rebounds a game. He is 3-for-9 on 3-pointers this season and a perfect 12-for-12 on free throws.
Zuiker scored 12 points in wins over Lakeland College on Nov. 18 and UW-River Falls on Dec. 4.
UW-La Crosse is off to a 7-1 start and a 3-0 mark in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles have a non-conference game at Southwest Minnesota State on Thursday in Marshall, Minn., before playing in a tournament at the Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells against Augustana College on Dec. 28 and the College of St. Scholastica on Dec. 29.
