Neillsville routs Spencer girls basketball

NEILLSVILLE – Spencer was held to just five made baskets and dropped a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game to undefeated Neillsville 67-15 on Friday night at Neillsville High School.

Neillsville (10-0, 7-0 Cloverbelt East) led 23-5 after the first quarter and 40-10 at halftime. To top that off, the Warriors outscored Spencer (2-5, 1-5 Cloverbelt East) 18-0 in the third quarter.

Jenny Lindner had 28 points and five steals for the Warriors.

Marisa Johnson and Sydney Kind each scored five points for Spencer.

The Rockets host Phillips in a nonconference game Monday.
