OSHKOSH – Emma Steines finished 12th in the triple jump with a leap of 29 feet, 8 ¼ inches for Auburndale’s top finish Tuesday at the Oshkosh High School Girls Small School Invitational at Kolf Sports Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Freedom won the team title with 60 points and Chilton finished second with 53.
Kayla Leibl finished 23rd in the shot put (29-6) for Auburndale, which only brought part of its team to the meet.
Other Auburndale finishes included: the 800-meter relay team, which finished 28th (2:08.94); Danica Harrison, who was 29th in the 400 (1:10.64); Sandra Pumper tied for 31st in the long jump (12-5); and Jessica Derezinski, who did not record a distance in the triple jump.
The Auburndale boys and girls track teams will compete at Marathon on April 8.
