KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Rhiannon Baierl threw five innings of three-hit ball to lead the Marshfield softball team to an 8-1 win over Dublin-Scioto (OH) on Tuesday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at DisneyWorld.
Baierl struck out one and walked none to earn the win in the Tigers’ season opener.
Taylor Varsho was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Andie Varsho was 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored for Marshfield.
Hayley Umhoefer added two hits for the Tigers, who had 11 hits overall.
Scout Meyer threw the final two innings for Marshfield.
The Tigers play a doubleheader Wednesday night against Kettering Fairmont (OH) and wrap up their trip Friday against West Geauga (OH) at DisneyWorld.
