Columbus Catholic girls basketball shut out in fourth quarter, drops home game to Augusta

MARSHFIELD – Augusta pulled away to a double-digit lead by halftime and shutout Marshfield Columbus Catholic in the fourth quarter as it went on to beat the Dons 55-31 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Monday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Augusta led 33-23 at halftime and finished off the victory with an 11-0 blanking of Columbus in the fourth quarter.

Dani Nelson scored 22 points to lead the Beavers.

Abby Baierl had 11 points to top Columbus Catholic.

The Dons will look to halt their three-game losing streak at Gilman on Thursday.
