UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball edges UW-Fox Valley

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County returned from winter break to win its first game of the second half of its season, 72-68 over UW-Fox Valley on Wednesday night at the Marauder Gym.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County is now 7-5 overall and 6-3 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference.

Rachel Herdrich scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Marauders. McKenzie Trunkel added 17 points and Corina Craig had 16 points and seven rebounds for UW-Marshfield/Wood County.

The Marauders return to action Jan. 25 at UW-Waukesha.
