Auburndale boys basketball rips winless Prentice, improves to 11-1

PRENTICE – The Auburndale boys basketball team improved to 11-1 this season, winning in dominating fashion over Prentice 66-11 in a nonconference game Thursday night at Prentice High School.

Ten different Apaches scored in the victory. Matt Nikolay led the way with a career-high 19 points. He was 7 of 9 from the field, 4 of 6 from the free throw line, and added three steals and four rebounds.

Blake Anderson and Zach Staats each added 10 points for Auburndale.

Auburndale hosts Northland Lutheran in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Tuesday.
