Stratford wrestling dominates three matches to win Stratford Triple Duals

STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team dominated three matches to go undefeated and win its home Stratford Triple Duals meet on Friday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers defeated Elcho 78-6, Marathon 60-15 and Spencer 67-9, to win the home meet.

Marathon finished 2-1, beating Elcho 39-30 and Spencer 51-12. Elcho knocked off Spencer in the other match 51-12.

In the win over Spencer, Stratford won eight matches by forfeit and also got pins from Hunter Kauffman at 220 pounds and Brice Murray at 285.

Spencer’s wins were a pin by Don Wilke at 138 and a 4-2 decision by Nate Neumann at 145.

Hunter Kauffman also had pins in his other two matches for Stratford.
