WAUSAU – Mitch Hertel and Josh Lang had pins as the Marshfield wrestling team closed out its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet schedule with a 50-18 rout of Wausau East on Thursday night at Wausau East High School.
Other winners in matches wrestled for Marshfield were Devon Klement, Trenton Smith, Jeremy Brost and Anthony Kanable.
Noah Gerdes, Luke Mahoney, Trevor Smith and Tristan Wilson also won by forfeit for the Tigers, who finish the WVC schedule with a 2-4 record. Wausau East is now 0-5.
Marshfield is off for a week before wrestling in a nonconference match at Mosinee on Jan. 30. The Wisconsin valley Conference Meet is Feb. 8 at D.C. Everest.
