MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Columbus Catholic shut out Spencer in the second quarter and rolled to a 40-15 win in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Rockets shot just 12 percent (5 of 42) from the field and turned the ball over 16 times in the loss.
Columbus improves to 7-7 and 5-6 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer is now 2-10 and 1-9 in the conference.
Jessica Trad had 19 points for the Dons. She made 4 of 8 shots from 3-point range and added two steals in the victory.
Sydney Kind made three of Spencer’s five field goals and had 10 points for the Rockets.
Columbus hosts Loyal and Spencer plays at Owen-Withee on Monday.
