EDGAR – Michael Bargender had 12 points and 11 rebounds to help lift the Stratford boys basketball to a 40-32 win over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Bargender made just 2 of 10 shots from the field but made up for it at the free throw line, drilling 8 of 10 attempts. Overall, Stratford was 16 of 20 on free throws.
Kaleb Wolf scored 14 points for Edgar.
Stratford is now 5-8 overall and 5-4 in the Marawood South, while Edgar drops to 2-15 and remains winless at 0-10 in the conference.
Stratford hosts Wausau Newman Catholic on Friday.
