Stratford wrestling team wins 11 matches, cruises past Nekoosa/Port Edwards

STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team closed out its regular-season schedule with a 47-15 win over Nekoosa/Port Edwards on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Ronnie Drymond (152 pounds) and Dondrick Tackes (195) won by pin for Stratford.

The Tigers also got major decision victories from Anthony Marten at 138 and Kyle Geibel at 160, and victories from Sam Wenzel (103), Anthony Gliniecki (113), Phil Sersch (126), Alex Heiden (132) and Hunter Kauffman (220). Kellen Bornbach and Kamren Bornbach won by forfeit for Stratford.

Stratford is off until the WIAA Division 3 regional at Edgar on Feb. 15.
