GRANTON – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team blasted Granton 70-39 on Thursday in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup at Granton High School.
The victory pushes Columbus Catholic into third place in the conference as it improves to 12-4 overall and 10-3 in the conference. Owen-Withee is in first place with a 13-2 record.
Granton drops to 2-14 and 0-13 in the Cloverbelt East.
Columbus plays at Spencer on Saturday. The game starts at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.
Jared Fleischmann scored 21 points and Jacob Puent added 16 for the Dons.
Columbus led 21-9 after the first quarter and 41-16 by halftime on its way to the 31-point win.
Mike Meddaugh topped Granton with 15 points.
