SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Marshfield High School graduate Taylor Varsho has started all 22 games for the University of Sioux Falls women’s basketball team this season.
Varsho, a sophomore who transferred from Colorado State University this season, is second on the Courgars in scoring at 14.5 points per game and 3-pointers with 53.
Varsho leads USF, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, in steals (39) and assists (50) and is third on the team in rebounding (4.7 per game).
Varsho’s season-high in points came on Jan. 17, when she scored 22 points in a win over Upper Iowa.
Varsho graduated from Marshfield in 2012 and is the all-time leading scorer for the girls basketball program with 1,370 points.
USF (12-10 overall, 8-10 NSIC) is back in action this weekend with road games at Minot State (N.D.) on Friday and the University of Mary in Bismark, N.D., on Saturday.
