STRATFORD – Smazel’s Hunters Choice edged USBancorp 104-101 in a high-scoring game Sunday during Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League play.
Chris Hannula had 35 points, Jimmy Flink had 27 and Dave Smith added 20 in the win for Smazel’s. Chris Newbury scored 26 points and Malachi David had 22 for USBancorp.
In other action Sunday:
*Marawood Construction topped Victory Apparel 83-70. Mike Kupfer had 24 points and Bryan Weichelt had 20 for Marawood. Shaun Schroeder led Victory Apparel with 23 points.
*Marawood Construction also defeated The Shack 72-65. Kupfer had 23 points for Marawood. Pat Johnson topped The Shack with 21 points.
*Justin Schmolz scored 23 points as Marshfield Country Club crushed Country Wireless 89-43.
*Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill beat The Shack II 92-84 in overtime. Aaron Linzmeier led Kizzy & Sue’s with 36 points. Kevin Spindler had 23 for The Shack II.
*Resource Recovery whipped Dental Crafters 66-45. Ian Keating had 21 points in the loss for Dental Crafters.
*Davis Auto hit the century mark, beat Arby’s 100-83. Kyle Davis had 24 points Davis Auto. Jeremy Bulgrin scored 23 for Arby’s.
*Rose Bowl Lanes beat A&B Process Systems 97-80 behind 29 points from Chris Fischer, 22 from Dan Dargenio and 21 from Pat Nikolai.
