STRATFORD – Stratford used a 24-8 second quarter to blow past Pittsville 53-30 in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
Stratford led 17-8 after the first quarter and pushed the lead to 41-16 with the huge second-quarter run.
Brooke Schultze scored all eight of her points in the second quarter for the Tigers (8-11, 4-8 Marawood South).
Macie Frueh and Savannah Schillinger each had nine points to lead Stratford in scoring as nine Tigers scored in the win.
Stratford hosts Northland Lutheran on Thursday.
