CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield boys basketball team stand one win away from a trip to the state tournament.
The Tigers roughed up Hudson 68-43 in a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal Thursday night at Chippewa Falls High School.
Marshfield set a school record with its 19th victory of the season and improve to 19-6 this season. The Tigers will take on Neenah (24-1) in a Division 1 sectional final at 4 p.m. Saturday at Wausau West High School. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
Luke Zuiker had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Matt Oestreich added 17 points for Marshfield.
The Tigers will be looking for their first state tournament appearance since 1994.
Marshfield led 18-7 after the first quarter and put the game away for good with a 23-11 third quarter to go up 53-32.
Marshfield made 17 of 19 free throws, including 11 of 11 by Zuiker.
