STRATFORD – Stratford held Auburndale to just four hits and pulled out a 5-3 win over the Apaches on Tuesday in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup.
Isaac Biehoffer took the loss for Auburndale, giving up just two earned runs in a complete-game effort. He struck out nine, walked five and gave up six hits.
Stratford improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the Marawood South. Auburndale falls to 0-3 and 0-2 in the conference.
Logan Willfahrt, Paul Willfahrt, Kaleb Bolder and Aaron Willfahrt each had one hits for Auburndale.
Auburndale hosts Edgar on Thursday and plays at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Friday. Stratford is off until Friday when it hosts Edgar.
