Columbus Catholic softball falls at Loyal/Granton

LOYAL – The Columbus Catholic softball team was held to three hits and lost 16-1 to Loyal/Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Monday at Loyal High School.

Neale Tracy, Lauren Derfus and McKenna Immerfall had singles for the Dons, who fall to 0-4 overall and in the Cloverbelt East. Loyal/Granton is now 2-2 overall and in the conference.

Abby Baierl took the loss for Columbus, giving up 16 runs, 12 hits and six walks in five innings. She struck out four.

Columbus Catholic hosts Greenwood for a Cloverbelt East doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
