SPENCER – Ben Grieser, Alex Brostowitz and Nate Neumann combined to throw a three-hit, five-inning shutout to lift the Spencer baseball team to a 13-0 win over Granton in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Tuesday at Spencer High School.
Spencer improves to 8-1 overall and 7-1 in the Cloverbelt East, while Granton falls to 0-4 overall and in the conference.
Grieser struck out five and walked one in three innings to earn the victory for the Rockets.
Brostowitz was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Bobby Pilz went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to pace the Spencer offense.
The Rockets host Owen-Withee on Thursday.
