Marshfield boys tennis loses to Wausau West

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won two doubles matches but lost all four singles matches in straight sets and lost 5-2 to Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis matchup Thursday at the Boson Courts.

The Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Bryce Gadke and Jacob Limmex won 6-4, 7-6 (4), and the No. 3 team of Dylan Handrich and Sam Trudeau rolled 6-2, 6-3, for Marshfield’s two victories.

Marshfield is now 1-2 in the conference, while West improves to 1-1.

Marshfield is scheduled to play at the Wausau West Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
