SPENCER – Mitchell Susa struck out seven and the Spencer offense was clicking again as the Rockets routed Owen-Withee 17-2 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Thursday at Spencer High School.
Spencer had five doubles and 11 walks in the victory, improving to 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the Cloverbelt East. Owen-Withee is 3-4 overall and in the conference.
Alex Brostowitz continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs for Spencer. Bobby Pilz had a single, a double and scored three runs, and Matt Ivacic added a pair of hits for the Rockets.
Spencer plays at Loyal on Friday.
