MARSHFIELD – Jordyn Ostrowski scored a pair of first-half goals and D.C. Everest rolled to a 6-1 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls soccer game Thursday at Griese Park.

Ostrowski’s goals at the 28th and 32nd minutes, gave the Evergreens (12-3 overall, 7-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Everest added four goals in the second half, three in the first 17 minutes, to take control.

Marshfield’s lone goal came at the 8:46 mark when Darian Molter scored off an assists from Walker Guzowski.

“The defense played a great first half and limited the DCE Evergreens to few opportunities, but when they got them they capitalized,” Marshfield coach Steve Lindner said. “It was disappointing only in the fact they got two goals and we played so strong.”

Marshfield (6-4-1 overall and 4-4 in the WVC) is at the Waupaca Invitational on Saturday.
