Spencer baseball blows past Colby

COLBY – Matt Ivacic had four hits and two RBIs to lift the Spencer baseball team to a 9-1 win over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at Colby High School.

Spencer led 3-0 after five innings, then plated six runs in the sixth to put the game away.

Bobby Pilz struck out seven in five innings to earn the win for the Rockets (11-2, 10-2 Cloverbelt East).

Colby falls to 0-6 overall and in the conference.

Alex Brostowitz added two hits, Joe Meyers drove in three runs and Mitch Susa had two RBIs for the Rockets.

Spencer is at Gilman on Friday.
