MERRILL – The Marshfield boys golf team finished second at the fifth leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Friday at Merrill Golf Course.
The Tigers had a score of 327 to take second for the fourth time in five Valley meets so far this season and remain in second place in the overall standings.
Stevens Point won the meet with a score of 319. Merrill was third with a 347.
Ian Pillai shot a 78 to lead Marshfield and finish third overall. Josh Berres tied for fifth with an 81 and Kyle Hoffman was eighth with an 83.
Craig Serchen had an 85 and Brandon Nikolai shot an 89 to finish off the scoring for the Tigers.
Marshfield finishes it regular season next week with the sixth leg of the conference tournament at home at RiverEdge Golf Course on Tuesday and the final leg next Friday at Wausau Country Club.
