WESTON – The Marshfield Chaparrals used a nine-run third inning to blow past the Everest Merchants 19-6 in an amateur baseball game Friday at Simon Field.
The Chaparrals capped off the win with seven runs in the top of the seventh and had 12 hits in the victory.
Zack Iverson went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBIs to lead the charge for Marshfield (3-4).
Ryan Metz picked up the win on the mound, allowing six runs in five innings.
The Chaparrals are off until Wednesday when they host Plover at 7:30 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field.
