MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Blue Demons Junior American Legion baseball team split a doubleheader Monday against Wisconsin Rapids at Jack Hackman Field.
Wisconsin Rapids won the opener 11-1 before Marshfield returned the favor with a 4-1 victory in the second game.
Matt Kuhlka had a hit and drove in the Blue Demons’ only run in the first game.
Aaron Braun earned the win in Game 2 for Marshfield, throwing four scoreless innings. Scott Berg pitched the final three to earn the save, striking out three and allowing an unearned run.
Bobby Pilz and Jeremy Brost each had two hits and scored a run in the win. Kuhlka had a single and a double as well for the Blue Demons.
Marshfield hosts Pittsville for a doubleheader on Friday.
