MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team handed the Rib Lake Osprey its first loss of the season, winning 3-2 on Wednesday at Jack Hackman Field.
Marshfield plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the lead for good.
Aaron Schwecke picked up the victory for the Chaparrals (7-5), allowing one earned run and eight hits in seven innings. Rayme Strey tossed two scoreless innings to earn the save.
Austin Littmann had two doubles and an RBI, Justin Rayburn had two singles, and Zac Iverson and Strey each had RBIs for the Chaparrals.
The Chaps host Whittlesey on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
