STRATFORD – Mosinee shutdown the Stratford offense and handed the Tigers a 19-6 nonconference loss Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
Mosinee scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters to push out to a 19-0 lead before the Tigers found pay-dirt in the fourth.
Kam Bornbach ran 6 yards for Stratford’s lone score with 1:41 remaining in the game.
Bornbach led Stratford with 66 yards rushing and quarterback Michael Bargender threw for 76 yards. Hunter Kauffman had four catches for 43 yards to lead the Tigers’ receiving corps.
Chris Tomski piled up 131 yards rushing and scored once, and Chris Vils’ only two catches of the game were both TDs for Mosinee.
Stratford has another nonconference game Friday, Aug. 29, at Colby.
