Marshfield girls tennis wins nonconference match vs. Wausau Newman Catholic

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won three of the four singles matches and two of the three in doubles to defeat Wausau Newman Catholic 5-2 in a nonconference girls tennis match Monday at Boson Courts.

All five of Marshfield’s wins were in straight sets.

Lara Prebble, Ashley Schultz and Hanah Gadke won the top three flights of singles matches for Marshfield, while the No. 2 doubles team of Martha Kupfer and Jenny Madden, and the No. 3 team of Autumn Packard and Krishna Patel also earned victories for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts La Crosse Central, Menomonie and D.C. Everest in a quadrangular meet Tuesday at Boson Courts. The first matches start at 10 a.m.
