RIVER FALLS – The Marshfield girls swimming team began its 2014 season by finishing fourth out of six teams at the River Falls/Menomonie Relays last Saturday at River Falls High School.
The Tigers racked up 416 points to finish fourth behind River Falls (642), Medford (522) and Eau Claire North (470).
Marshfield has one second and three third-place finishes.
The Tigers 400 freestyle relay team was second in 4:07.62, finishing nearly 6 seconds behind winner River Falls.
The 200 medley relay team was third in 2:02.36, the 200 butterfly team was third in 2:04.52, and the 200 backstroke team was third in 2:08.18.
Marshfield will compete at the Tomahawk Invitational on Thursday.
