MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield football team’s home opener scheduled for Friday against Wausau East was postponed due to thunderstorms rolling through area.
Players were twice called off the field during warm-ups due to lightning in the area and eventually the stadium was evacuated around 7:20 p.m. The decision to postpone the game was made around 7:45 p.m.
The game will now be played at noon Saturday at Beell Stadium. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
