AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Marawood Conference with a three-game sweep of Pittsville on Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
The Apaches won 25-8, 25-8, 25-13.
Taylor Gotz had nine kills, Sydney Schmutzer led Auburndale with 21 assists and Hannah Castellano had eight digs.
Katie Leick added seven digs, and Ashley Peplinski and Shannon Yahnke each had six kills for the Apaches.
The match was Pittsville’s first conference match of the season.
Spencer, Marshfield Columbus Catholic and Stratford are among the teams that will compete at the Auburndale Invitational on Saturday.
