SPENCER – Macie Weber had nine kills, four aces and three blocks to lead the Spencer volleyball team to a sweep of Rhinelander 3-0 in a nonconference match Tuesday at Spencer High School.

Marisa Johnson had eight kills and 24 digs, Courtney Buss had 19 digs and four aces, and Brooke Kettleborough had 27 assists for the Rockets (9-1).

Spencer won 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.

“It was a nice way to start our dual season,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Rhinelander was tall and long and challenged us at the net all night. We did a nice job keeping them out of their offense.”
